Quick Beef Stroganoff
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lb 96% extra-lean ground beef
- 1 Tablespoon reduced-fat margarine
- 3/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 6-oz can tomato paste
- 1 10-oz can beef broth
- 1 cup fat-free (skim) evaporated milk
Directions:
- Brown the ground beef in a heavy skillet. Drain off the fat, remove the beef from the skillet, and set aside. Add the margarine and saute the onion and bell pepper until tender.
- Add the remaining ingredients slowly, stirring to blend. Return beef to skillet; stir to coat well. Cover and cook over low heat for 30 minutes. Serve over hot noodles or fluffy rice.
